sometimes water damage with just a drywall change will be fixed but if the soaking materials are not removed on time there is a chance for mold to appear and that will require additional steps to repair the damage.

All the damaged drywall will have to be removed.
If the insulation behind the drywall was wet it will need to be changed since insulation is like a sponge and most of the time it will absorb a lot of water making it unusable.
If after removing the damaged drywall the framing or something else behind it still wet a heater have to be used to dry the area before the new materials are installed to prevent mold.
If there is mold in the space behind the damaged drywall it can be sprayed with a mold-killing liquid before installing the materials back.
After everything is dry the new materials will be installed like insulation if needed. The new drywall will be installed, taped and textured to match the surrounding area or if a whole area was replaced like the whole ceiling a new texture can be used and will be up to the owner to decide.
If the area of the repair is small like a ceiling in a bathroom or small wall Is always recommended that the whole area be Primed and Painted so there is no difference between old and new paints but if the owner only want the repairs primed and painted that can be done too.
At the end of the project the area will be cleaned.

: If the Water Damage is small around 2 square feet we can give you an estimate based in a few pictures taken from different angles.
If the damaged drywall still in the wall or ceiling then is not possible because we will not know if something else is damaged under it like the insulation, maybe a mold killing agent is needed, etc. or if a bigger piece of drywall needs to be cut to do the repair the right way.
For bigger repairs is better if we go in person to see exactly what needs to be done to give you an accurate and free estimate.
: Yes before any work is started we always protect the area close to the Water Damage Repair with plastic and paper like the floors and furniture, doors, windows, trim, etc.
: Since there is going to be a lot of protecting and work being done to do your water damage repair anyways we can always use this opportunity to re-texture your wall or ceiling to a texture of your choice for an extra charge.
: Sometimes, If the water damage repair is smaller than 2 square feet, the area has been dry for a while, the drywall is the only material that we have to change and you do not need us to do the primer and paint for you is possible to do it, if you want us to do the Primer and Paint for you then a minimum of 2 days are needed.
For most Water Damage Repairs a few days are needed, we can let you know how long your work is going to take when we give you a free estimate.
